God is Calling His People. . .
A WORD OF INSTRUCTION
(War, Earthquakes, Floods, Hurricanes, Drought, Acts of Terrorism, etc.)
The Lord said there would be perilous times in the last days. Matthew 24:7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”
Every day there are catastrophes and disasters around the globe. God’s purpose is to lead intercessors to pray for these occurrences. 2 Chronicles 16:9a “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him”. Those whose hearts know burden in prayer will realize or recognize the spirit of God leading them to focus in intercession on these happenings. Remember that “God bless so-and-so” is not really prayer. Specific praying gets specific answers. Examples: John 16:24 “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” Ephesians 6:18,19 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel” Philippians 4:2-4 “I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”, Hebrews 13:18-19 “Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.”
God is calling His people to understand that there are unusual and miraculous things that He wants to accomplish. Ecclesiastes 8:5b “a wise means heart discerned both time and judgment”.
