Lima – Pan American Games outreach
The following is a call for prayer, sent to Global Intercessors by the organizers of the outreach. We plan to post updates from the team as the outreach gets underway:
On the 26th of July a team of 26 people from 4 (American) churches will be going to Lima Peru. We are given the opportunity in the space of ten days, to hand out literature in 4 languages, to athletes from 41 countries.
According to the official web page of the Pan-American games, there will be 6668 athletes present. This does not take into consideration the managers, staff, family members, all those who travel with the athletes. So the number could easily be double or triple that. A unique opportunity to minister to all these countries at one time. Pair that with the population of Lima being ten million, and the opportunities are endless.
It is a monumental task, and we can do nothing without the Power of God! So we are pleading for prayer warriors, those who have mountain moving faith, to daily intercede on our behalf.
Prayer requests:
- Satan would be bound.
- Hearts will be prepared, both the workers, and those who receive the literature.
- Divine appointments.
- Unity of the team, satan would love to cause division between workers.
- Safety while on the streets.
- That God is given the glory.
- That many would come to the Lord.
We will be teaming up with churches from Lima as well, Lord willing we will have 60 plus people on the streets every day with the goal of handing out over 250,000 tracts.
